Judges Comments on Quickstep Week 2
Len
First of all what I liked is that you didn’t mess about with all that silly fiddling around, you just got on with the quickstep so that I thought was great.
Near the middle there you did a lovely throwaway oversway, I liked that. You moved around the floor really well. I think ballrooms gonna really suit you but you’ve just got to just work on your posture a little bit and get that bizarre position that you girls have to get to really be a good ballroom dancer. Shame you messed you messed up a little bit on the Charleston and there was the bum incident just over here but other than that … well done!
Bruno
Well its one of those things, it is like Leo and Kate in Titanic, you know it all started very well but we found a few icebergs on the way. Len is absolutely right you know, the potential that you will be great ballroom dancers. You have to keep the control of your core when you’re in posture all of the time. You have to sustain it all the way through the dance. We’ve got weeks to go, I’m sure you will do better. A bit of an accident tonight.
Carrie-Anne
I was really sad to see the little mistakes that you made because I really do agree with these guys, I think this dance was truly going to suit you like it was all just felt like it was all going to come together. But I just want to give you a bit of advice, great dancing is a lot like great acting, you don’t act, you just be in that moment a 100% - stop thinking. There are moments where I see you come out and you see yourself in the outside. You have to be with Derek 1000% (yes, she did say a thousand percent!) okay - because you have it.
Comments from Derek and Jennie after the slip at the end
Derek - It’s human – how about that! (ever the professional, understanding that it’s no the end of the world and trying to remain positive!)
Jennie – Oh my God! If people want to see that disastrous dance again they’ll keep us here and I’ll keep going. (quite understandable being upset when you’ve put so much hard work into the dance)
